One measure of the effectiveness of The Lundy Group is the involvement of the company’s individuals in professional and other organizations where a network of contacts, ranging from local to national, is made. The individuals within the organization are involved in the following community activities and hold the offices listed below. This is real involvement, not just lines on a resume. The reason the Lundy organization can span such a breadth of organizations is the activity level of every employee on something of both personal interest to them and professional interest to the company.
Of particular note is the involvement with the current City Council and the Chamber of Commerce. Individuals at Lundy enjoy the presence on several sitting committees ranging from evaluating the building codes to soliciting for new business. This level of involvement puts Lundy in a unique position with decision makers daily about the properties Lundy manages and leases. Being in the right place at the right time is being in a lot of places a lot of the time. This allows Lundy to sometimes help shape policy, sometimes garner recognition for a project, sometimes gain access to high level issues or individuals and generally to be on the cutting edge of knowledge. All this has been done in an environment within Lundy, which promotes the projects above the individuals, promotes success above personal recognition.
Within the real estate industry, the BOMA and IREM chapters locally are particularly noteworthy in their proactive efforts to advance management and information. Particular emphasis has been devoted recently on the interaction between real estate managers and city government to preserve and enhance the vitality and safety of our cities. With the proper support, the downtown area is ideally suited to remain a leader in cultural and entertainment activities that encourage day and evening use.
